Winter Learning Journey


Hector’s dolphins are only found in New Zealand waters. Sadly, many of them are getting killed each year because they are getting killed accidentally by fishers). I have to form an opinion on where I think fishing should be banned in Farewell spit (Where hector’s dolphins are found). I think it should be banned because people could fish in other places where the dolphins aren’t found. The dolphins could become extinct if people keep killing them.

    I had the same reasons as you to ban fishing in Farewell spit. I like how you have told about what happens to the Hector's dolphins. I agree with you that there are lot of places to be fishing at. Keep up the awesome work.

    This was an interesting post to read Daniel.     Hi Daniel,

    I totally agree that there are many other places that people can go fishing - we are surrounded by water! It's more important to save our animals than get lots of fish to eat. Thanks for sharing your opinion Daniel :)
