For this task I watched a video clip about the Beetles. Here are two facts I learnt about them:
1. They were a very close group
2. They were under a lot of pressure when they were performing or writing their songs
Hello Daniel, I also agree with you The beatles were under a lot of pressure while performing but at the end everything was sorted because they worked as a team. Keep up the great work can't wait to see more of the Summer Learning journey posts from you.
I'm a year 7 student from S.P.X school and thanks for leaving a comment! Anyways my Name is Von and it's true that The Beatles were definitely under pressure, I have to say that watching the video gave me the shivers.
Great work and I hope you keep in touch with blogging :)
Hey Daniel, This is Jennifer and Christina and we're in grade 8. We were recently introduced to many blogs, and yours caught our eye. A bunch of our friends here in Toronto, Canada have all been on your blog and we all love the insightful comments. Keep up the great work!
Hi Daniel, I agree with you on those facts. They are indeed a close group and if you hadn't said they were under a lot of stress when they were performing or writing I wouldn't have noticed it. Keep up the great work Daniel.
Hi Daniel, I really think that your facts about the Beetles. My brother Bradley and my dad, like the Beetles. But I haven't herd the 2 facts that you learnt so I learned something too.
You are absolutely right to note that The Beatles were under intense pressure both from the fans and from music critics. They were the first band out of Britain to create such hype that people would actually faint when they saw them and/or burst into tears. There are a number of videos that show female fans sobbing uncontrollably when The Beatles appeared on the stage in front of them. It was unlike nothing the world had ever seen!
In this day and age we are much more accustomed to seeing fans follow their favourite artists around the world, cheering and calling out for them, but this was relatively unheard of before The Beatles. In fact, things got so manic that the media coined a new word to describe the reaction that The Beatles evoked in their fans. They called it 'Beatlemania.'
Who would you say is incredibly famous in this day and age? Who might incite a lot of excitement from fans? Maybe bands like One Direction or solo artists like Beyonce, Drake, Rihanna or Adele?
What do you think, Daniel? I'd love to know what kind of music you most like and who you feel are the most popular bands of 2016/2017.
Wow Daniel, those are two very interesting facts about The Beatles! Have you listened to any of their songs? My favourite Beatles song is Let It Be. You can listen to it here!
