For this summer learning journey activity, I have to find out three facts about the country I chose to learn about (I chose Canada).
Fact one: Canada is the second largest country in the world, after Russia
Fact two: Canada has more lakes than the rest of the world’s lakes combined
Fact three: Canada was the third country in space, after the US and the USSR
Hello Daniel, I didn't know that Canada was the third country to travel in space. It is interesting to find out that Canada has more lakes than the rest of the world's lakes combined. I would like to know if Canada is the largest country population or by area?
ReplyDeleteHi Daniel, I thought those were very interesting facts. I am looking forward to find out new facts about Canada from you. Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteBonjour Daniel,
ReplyDeleteWell done on your blogging efforts so far, it looks like you have really gotten into the Summer Learning Journey programme. Awesome!
Those are three really interesting facts. It sounds like Canada would be a fascinating and beautiful place to visit. I thought New Zealand had a lot of lakes, but Canada has us beat there! Do you prefer swimming in lakes or the sea? I really enjoy swimming in the sea during summer, the lakes are a little too cold for me!
I never knew Canada had been into space? DO you know when they first made it there?
Keep up the great blogging Daniel. If you can, don't forget to have a look at some of your friends blogs and comment if you can. Everyone is travelling to such interesting places!
Happy holidays,
Dan.

Good morning Daniel~
ReplyDeleteI have had the opportunity to go back through all of your blog posts and re-read them. I am already looking forward to reading more of your posts as you continue with this journey!
Canada really is a fascinating place and there will be so much to learn about the architecture, animals, flora, fauna, etc. of the country. It is truly on the largest places on earth. As you noted, Canada is the 2nd largest country after Russia. We have HUGE mountains and amazing lake systems. The largest range of mountains in Canada is called 'The Rockies.' They're located on the western side of Canada and they run for 1450 kilometres. It actually takes days to drive through all the way through them. I had the chance to drive through the Rockies this past October and I loved it. It was the third time that I had done it and I was still mesmerised by their sheer size and grandeur.
If you have a minute, feel free to check out a few pictures of the Rockies. They can be found here: https://www.tripadvisor.com/VacationRentalsBlog/2015/05/21/25-stunning-images-canadian-rockies/
Keep up the great work with your blogging, Daniel. I'm really looking forward to reading more of your blogs as you make your way through the journey. You're already halfway there :)
Cheers,
Rachel
