Summer Learning Journey

For this summer learning journey activity, I have to translate five phrases into Spanish, German, Malaysian, Japanese, Arabic or Afrikaans. I chose to translate it from English to Spanish. I used google translate to translate these phrases.

Good morning - Buenos días
Good bye - Adiós
How much does this cost? - ¿Cuánto cuesta este?
When is the next bus? - ¿Cuándo pasa el próximo autobús?
Where is the nearest hospital? - ¿Dónde está el hospital más cercano?

  1. Hello Daniel, I like how you have put the Spanish words next to the English so you can tell which sentences belong together. Keep up the great work.

  6. Hi Daniel, I also chose to translate Spanish. I like how you have written the phrases next to the question written in English. I also like how you have evenly spaced out the phrases.

  7. Hi Daniel,

It is really nice to see that your posts garner so much attention and so many comments. I think that it is likely because you do such a good job :)

I like that you chose to translate your phrases into Spanish as your country of choice (Canada) is primarily an English-speaking country. We do have a large percentage of French speakers in Canada and an increasing number of Spanish speakers, as well. Like many other countries, Canada is very multi-cultural. I can remember growing up in Canada and going to school with other children from Brazil, Germany, India, Mexico, etc. My best friend in early primary school was a girl name Bhavneeta. She could speak English and Hindi.

Do you know anyone who speaks Hindi fluently? What about Spanish?

    Adios,

    Rachel :)
