For the last PBS Blogging Journey activity, the task is to: Compare the New Zealand Harbour Bridge with the Australian one. Create a venn diagram to show the differences and similarities. I learnt that the Sydney Harbour Bridge is the world's largest steel arch bridge.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson, and Ms Kirkpatrick.

PBS Blogging Journey
For this PBS Blogging Journey activity, the task was to create a DLO providing facts about the Auckland Harbour Bridge. I learnt that it took a long time to build (4 Years!!!) and it actually had two architects that designed it.

For this PBS Blogging Journey activity, the task was to: Use your smart searching skills to find out which event is on at the museum these holidays Create your own 5 photo exhibition. Remember to be creative with your DLO. For the first part of the activity, the event is called Time To Serve: Soldier Or Stretcher Bearer. It is on from the 9th to the 15th of October (10am - 2pm). For the second half of the activity, I created a 5 photo exhibition with a Lego man.

For this PBS Blogging Journey activity, the task is to: Find out about a parade that is held outside the Auckland Museum once a year (When it is held and why it is held). Record your answer on Vocaroo and post it on your blog.
Here is the link to my recording: https://vocaroo.com/i/s0WV00Eg55rI
PBS Blogging Journey
For this PBS Blogging Journey activity, the task is to: Visit the museum website and find out about life as an ANZAC soldier. Find three interesting facts and say why you found them interesting.
Fact 1: Archduke Franz Ferdinand's death started WW1. I found this interesting because if he hadn't have been assassinated, the war would never have started.
Fact 2: WW1 ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. I found that interesting because a very bloody war ended on a very weird date.
Fact 3: In WW1, when the ANZAC's left, they had to put sandbags on their shoes so that the enemy wouldn't hear them. I found this interesting because it was a very smart idea that might have saved lives.
PBS Blogging Journey
For this PBS Blogging Journey activity, the task is to: Create a DLO providing the opening times and all the ticket prices. Full bonus points in you add a image and attribute it. I find it weird how Kelly Tarltons charges you less if you order online rather than paying the walk up price.
PBS Blogging Journey
For this PBS Blogging Journey activity, the task is to: Choose one of the sea creatures in Kelly Tarltons and make an info-graphic about them. Full points in you include an image and attribute it. I decided to choose one of the seahorses called the Big Bellied Seahorse. It is a very big seahorse and looks pretty funny because it's belly is so big.
PBS Blogging Journey
For this PBS Blogging Journey Activity, the task was to: Visit the Kelly Tarlton's website to find out how much it would cost for you to go there. Use your smart searching skills to find out much it would cost for your family to visit the aquarium. It would cost me $22 if I pay online or $27 if I pay when I get there. It would cost my family $127 if we pay online (Family B ticket + Child ticket) or $159 if we pay when I get there.
PBS Blogging Journey
For this PBS Blogging Journey activity, the task was to: Find different adventurous activities that you can do at the Sky Tower and say which one would you choose, why would you choose it and how much would it cost. At the Sky Tower, you can do the Sky Jump and the Sky Walk. I would choose the Sky Jump because in that activity, you jump off the Sky Tower and that sounds like heaps of fun and the Sky Walk only involves you walking around on a 1.2 meter platform 192 meters up. The Sky Jump costs $225 for a adult and $175 for a child.
PBS Blogging Journey
For this PBS blogging journey activity, the task was to: Create a mascot for the Sky Tower as Scotty (The Sky Tower mascot) is away. Write a explanation about why you chose your mascot. My mascot is named Bob and I chose him because he is designed to look kind of like the Sky Tower (Really tall and thin).
PBS Blogging Journey
For this PBS blogging journey activity, our task was to: Use our smart searching skills to find out five facts about the Auckland Sky Tower and create a DLO about it. I learnt that the Sky Tower cost 76 million dollars to create which seems really expensive.
PBS Blogging Journey
For this PBS blogging journey activity, the task was to:
1. Choose a ride (From Rainbow's end) and explain why I would recommend that ride to a friend.
2. Describe how I might feel on that ride
3. Write 25 words and add an attributed video/picture of that ride
I would feel really excited on the Fear Fall because I love the thrill of going down really fast.
25 words about the ride: The Fear fall is an exciting and thrilling ride located in the awesome and amazing theme park of Rainbow's end in the city of Auckland.
