CARE Awards

This DLO is for my attitude CARE award. For the task, I had to research the role of the PHN (Public Health Nurse) in our school and tell others how they help us. The public health nurse in our school comes into our class every day to make sure that no one has a sore throat or a skin sore.

This DLO is for my attitude CARE award task. For this task, I had to research the role of a public health nurse in our school and tell others how they help us. I found out that a public health nurse goes around to many different community places like schools and makes sure that all the students there are healthy. 

CARE Awards

This is a DLO that I created about a man called Nelson Mandela for my CARE awards. I had to research a person who has a positive attitude despite difficulties they have faced.  I chose Nelson Mandela because he was sent to prison many times and for many years but he still believed in what he thought was right. 

CARE Awards

On Wednesday, I went to present at Manaiakalani. I presented about our learning we did about Te Taiao O Tamaki last term. At first I was really nervous and kept making mistakes, but then I got the hang of it and did all right. One thing I need to work on is looking at the audience when I am speaking instead of staring at the computer.

Today I completed a CARE award task for Respect. For this task, I had to complete a presentation on a respected leader. I chose to make this presentation on Richie McCaw. He led the team All Blacks on many games. He is retired now, but was a great rugby player. 

CARE Awards

This is my CARE award task that I did. I made two DLO's. One of them was hot to be cyber safe and how to stand up to bullies. It is important to make sure that you stay safe while online and it is also important to make sure you won't get bullied. 

CARE Awards (Excellence and Innovation)

This is a CARE award task that I did. I had to write about my personal passion. I really like to play sports even though I am not that good at them. It doesn't stop me from trying though! My favorite sports are soccer, cricket, basketball and touch. I like sports that have teamwork because you have to work together and cooperate with your team. 

CARE Awards (Excellence and Innovation)

This is one of my CARE awards. Our CARE awards are: Confidence, Attitude, Respect and Excellence and Innovation. This CARE award task is for Excellence and Innovation. I had to make a DLO about three of the novels I read this term. The three I had most recently read are: Alex Rider Stormbreaker, Billionaire Boy and Monkey Boy. These are great books and I really enjoyed reading them.

CARE Awards Task

This is a CARE award task that I made with a group of my friends. We interviewed a security guard. We wanted to record what he said, but he couldn't give us that information if we recorded it.
