World War One Propaganda Activity

For this activity I had to find out three different definitions of what Propaganda means and what was on the Lusitania medallion and what was the message it was meant convoy.

What does propaganda mean?  Find 3 definitions from 3 different sources.
  • information, ideas, or rumors deliberately spread widely to help or harm a person, group, movement, institution, nation, etc.
  
  • Propaganda is a form of communication aimed towards influencing the attitude of a population toward some cause or position.

Propaganda is a form of communication that is influencing the population towards a cause.  

What was on the medallion?
People lined up to get a ticket to get on the Lusitania. A skeleton in the ticket booth. The skeleton represents death. There is also a man reading a newspaper with a headline that says U-boat danger. The words GESCHAFT UBER ALLES are also on the medallion.   
What was the message that it was meant to convey?
To the German people? That the U-20’s can sink British ships easily  
To the British people? Lots of civilians died and they lost lots of weapons
