Winter Learning Journey

For the first bonus activity of the Winter learning journey, I had to design a new flag. I could use any drawing programme I wanted. I kind of like the flag we have now so I left it mostly the same except I added a kiwi (Because that is what New Zealanders are also know as) and I changed the dark blue background into a lite blue background (Which I thought looker way better). I also changed the red in the union jack into black, so the union jack kind of represents our sports teams (All blacks, black caps and black sticks)

  1. Hello Daniel, that is really smart of you to change to colour of the union jack and add a kiwi to your flag. It looks really cool. Keep it up.

  4. Hi Daniel
What a lovely flag. I like the kiwi. I like how you have told on your blurb what the symbols and colours represent. I like how you have put the stars around the kiwi. That is a great idea. Keep up the great work!

  5. Hi Daniel!

It's so great to hear your thoughts on the kind of flag you would have. I can tell you have been thoughtful about your designs and why you have chosen them. Your love for sports is obvious! I love that you added a Kiwi because that is what we identify as in New Zealand - many other countries know us as and call us Kiwi's too!

It's great to see you have been so involved with the programme and I'm looking forward to reading more of your work! Well done!

    Nicky :)
