Winter Learning Journey

For this winter learning journey I had to pretend that I was invited to be in the committee that decided which people from New Zealand should go to the Olympic opening ceremony. I had to chose out of these people: Richie McCaw, Lorde, Kane Williamson, Maria Tutaia, John Key or Shaun Johnson. I would chose Kane Williamson because I like cricket (Which is what he plays).

  1. Good choice, Daniel! I am also a huge fan of Kane Williamson. He's such a talented batsman. I must admit that I didn't know anything about cricket until I moved to New Zealand six years ago but, since moving, I have spent a lot of time learning about the game and I am now a pretty big fan! I find test cricket a bit hard to watch (bit boring) but I try to catch the highlights and to go to 20/20 cricket and one-day games as often as possible.

(I think that I also really like Kane Williamson because we have the same last name. It's pretty cool to share a surname with such a famous athlete! Do you know of any athletes whose last name is 'Grady?')

    Cheers, Rachel (Williamson)
