Summer Learning Journey

For this holiday reading challenge activity, I had to use a currency exchanger to find out how much a return ticket to these countries (Below) costs. For example, it costs 826 Australian dollars for a return ticket from New Zealand to Australia, so I converted the Australian dollars to NZ dollars to see how much NZ dollars it cost. The least expensive country to visit is Australia and the most expensive country to visit is Mexico. I think that Australia is the cheapest because it is so close, and Mexico is the most expensive because it is so far away.

  3. Hello Daniel, I like how you have used the same template to show how much the NZ currency would cost. Could you tell me how you did it?

  4. Bonjour Daniel,

Wow I could not believe how expensive it was to fly to Mexico! You've done really well figuring out how to convert foreign currencies into NZ dollars, that can be a bit trick sometimes.

I think you're exactly right as to why some places like Australia are cheaper to fly to than places like Mexico. Sometimes it depends on how frequently planes fly there too. Flights to Australia are pretty common, but flying to Mexico (as well as being far away) might happen less frequently so that can makes flights more expensive as well.

By the looks of it, Canada isn't too expensive to travel to in comparison to other countries. I think you've picked really well to travel there, it means you'll have more money to spend on all sorts of fun activities while you're there!

    Cheers,
    Dan.
