For this activity I have to post three facts about the country I chose (United Kingdom).
Number 1: The United Kingdom is made up of England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland
Number 2: Windsor castle (In England, United Kingdom) is the oldest castle in the world
Number 3: The British Library in London is the biggest library in the world.
Wow! You have posted three really interesting facts about the UK. I had no idea that Windsor Castle is the oldest castle in the world. That is quite an amazing feat, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI was also surprised to read that the British Library in London is the biggest library in the world. Given that you love to read, I bet that you would really enjoy visiting the British Library. I haven't been there personally but, from what I understand, it is incredibly big. In fact, people often get lost in the library looking for specific areas!
Thanks for posting such interesting facts, Daniel. I love learning and you are definitely teaching me things that I have never heard of before now.
Thanks :)
Rachel
Hi Rachel
ReplyDeleteWindsor castle was built around 1070 by William the conqueror. Even I was surprised it was that old!
Daniel
Hi Daniel,
ReplyDeleteIt really is incredibly old isn't it? I wonder what the oldest building in New Zealand would be. Do you know by any chance?
Cheers,
Rachel
