I think Curious Kiwi should read the hunger games number 2 (Catching fire) because it sound like a cool survival story. I think it is also for people that like action books.
For this activity I had to choose what book Curious Kiwi (Summer Learning Journey's mascot) should read on the plane. The three book choices were: Matilda, The Hunger Games Catching Fire and Diary Of A Wimpy Kid The Ugly Truth.
Hi Daniel,
ReplyDeleteI think that you've made a really good choice of book for Curious Kiwi to read. Like you, he loves adventure and 'Catching Fire' sounds like it is completely full of adventure and intrigue. A number of the other students who are involved in the Summer Learning Journey also recommended this book so you are in good company!
Are you personally familiar with any of the 'Hunger Games' books or movies? I haven't read any of the books nor seen the movie but I understand that they're really popular. A lot of my friends saw the movie but found it a bit too violent for them.
Thanks for taking the time to make the recommendation for Curious Kiwi. I'm sure that he'll take your advice and pack the book for your trip to the UK!
Cheers,
Rachel
Hi Rachel
ReplyDeleteI have read all of the hunger games books and watched some of the movies. It did have a bit of violence in it but I thought it was great!

I'll check back in tomorrow to see if you've posted anything new. I hope that you're able to re-join our journey before it comes to an end!

Hi Daniel,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! You were the most active blogger from Panmure Bridge School for the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. Way to go! You won the gold medal. What an awesome achievement!
Given your involvement with the programme, I would love to come into Panmure Bridge School this year to meet up and chat a bit about the summer blogging programme. I am hoping to improve the current design and to launch it in all 12 Manaiakalani cluster schools next summer (2016-2017). Would you be willing to meet with me? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Finally, I have a prize for you to acknowledge your awesome work. I will bring it into Panmure Bridge school early in the year to give it to you.
See you at school in a few weeks!
Cheers,
Rachel
